Can only speak for my unit (CICU) but PTO is nearly always approved. I rarely feel stressed or overworked. We do float often because we have excess staff but I prefer this to the alternative, which is short staffing. The unit is rather hi tech without being overly so. Co workers are mostly very young/new RNs. Overall a good place to work.
