The work environment is very laid back in the radiology department. We work in three different areas within the hospital. At duke north we moderately sedate for biopsy, drain placements, ablations, and many other minor procedures. We also assist in injecting contrast for the pediatric population for CT scans. At DMP/Cancer center we provide anxiolytics for this needing it for scans, accessing ports, starting IVs, and many other things. It is a great place to work if you want something different from bedside nursing. Scheduling is 4 10s, no weekends, and one major/minor holiday annually. We also DO NOT get floated! |
