I’m new to my floor but in the small amount of time I’ve been here, every one of my coworkers have been nothing but nice and inviting! They check on me (and each other) multiple times during shift and help out whenever asked.

Great place to work. Fantastic benefits!

Duke is actually a great place to work. There is leadership and structure that make this place run as good as any large organization can. Staffing ratios are enforced so we never have unsafe patient/RN ratios. Work culture is good and the benefits like PTO and health insurance are a huge bonus. The area around Duke is expensive for renters but the area is nice and there are a lot of things to do in this city.

Learning opportunities are easy to come by

This a great work environment for learning. Opportunities to grow are limitless here.

Staffing ratios are good 3:1. We have lost a lot of nurses unfortunately and the travelers are a big part of our floor now. That being said even with shortages, PTO/requests are generally approved! Management is very accommodating and easy to get along with. 🙂
